Look for: wet edges, dirt buildup sticking to fluid, drips forming around bolts and uneven seepage. Mechanics often call this “sweating.” And sweating usually turns into dripping.

• Low Transmission Fluid: A slow pan gasket leak can gradually lower fluid levels without obvious puddles.

Symptoms include: delayed shifting, slipping, rough engagement and overheating.

• Burnt Fluid Smell: Leaking fluid can hit hot exhaust components and create a sharp burnt smell. That’s your sign to stop ignoring it.
